Compression Therapy
What it is…
Pressotherapy, also known as compression therapy, can help with lymphatic drainage, decreasing muscle aches and pains, helping with circulation, and detoxifying the body. A machine uses infrared heat and compressed air to inflate a suit that squeezes your arms, legs, feet, and/or abdomen in a rhythmic motion, similar to a massage. There is some evidence that lymphatic drainage massage can reduce the appearance of cellulite and release fluid in the lymph nodes which may build up after surgery or after certain cancer treatments. This type of therapy is widely used in vascular treatment for the drainage of the lower limbs. It’s an excellent means of treatment for edematous cellulite in the lower limbs.

For your Appointment…
Please arrive in clothing that is light and flexible (NO Dresses…Ideally, leggings or lounge pants), as well as clean socks. (You will remain clothed for your session.) You will be in a semi-private/private area in our facility. Your session will begin with staff wrapping an inflatable cuff around the arms, legs, feet and/or abdomen. We will then turn on the inflatable cuff(s), which fills with air and sends light pressure into each cuff.
Each session lasts around 30 minutes. Depending on your goals and health, it is recommended to be repeated no more than twice a week. It is common for people to have to urinate after a session, since fluids have been moved throughout the body. As always, hydrate.
